On the south side of Banderas
Bay, the Sierra Madre Mountains extend downward
into the sea, creating nice rocky shores that
attract marine life. Along this south
shore is the protected cove of Majahuitas, a
nice scuba diving location for all skill levels.
Majahuitas is not a protected
marine park like Los Arcos, but is also much
less visited, which means less divers and
snorkelers to share the water with. As you
cruise to the dive site, you'll pass by the
Puerto Vallarta skyline, Mismaloya, and Los
Arcos, giving you some nice photo opportunities.
Once at the diving location, you'll have a nice
shallow dive with tropical fish, spotted eagle
rays, moray eels, and more.
Runs: Wednesdays and Fridays from
9:00AM to 3:00PM from Puerto Vallarta.
Duration: 6 hours
Experience Level: All Skill Levels
Visibility and Water Temperature:
Jan-April: 15-40 feet / 70°-78°F
May-December: 30 to 100 feet / 79°-86°F
Requires: Open Water Certification or
completed Resort Course
Includes: Divemaster in the water with
you, Light Snack, Water, Equipment (if that option
is chosen below).
