San Sebastian del Oeste is a colonial Spanish
town, dating back to 1605, when over 4,000 people called it home.
The town was a mining center for gold and silver back then - today,
it's a small town of 600, tucked away in the Sierra Madre, and is
a retreat, where city folk get away from it all.
Your tour will visit this quaint little community,
and offer you a real feeling of Mexican culture and history.
The tour starts with a visit to the small village of La Estancia, where you'll visit a distillery
that makes Raicilla, the official drink of Puerto Vallarta, and
enjoy samples of the unique and potent local beverage.
The tour launches upward at this point, driving
4,500 feet high into the Sierra Madre to the cozy pueblo of San
Sebastian, existing today as it was over 400 years ago. Visit
a museum, a coffee factory, and the famous San
Sebastian Church. You'll enjoy a real Mexican lunch at Lupita's
Restaurant, then have free time to explore on your own and take
pictures before making the journey back to Nuevo Vallarta.
